More Info This is the story of a little orphan pup some people don't believe that it's true
But I'll tell it the way it was told to me and I'll leave that up to you
Some say he was a shepherd dog or maybe only part
A mongrel breed by birth perhaps but a thorughbread at heart
One day he wandered down the road lonely tired and unfed
He was willing to trade his poor little heart for just a pat on the head
He came upon a stranger in a garden I understand
Who gave him bread and water and the puppy licked his hand
Well he thought he'd found his master at last and at his feet he lay
